WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME, WES?
Great question! Here are the amazing titles available to you:
BUG SLUGGER - VOLUME 1: CRICKET ARMY (Sci-fi/Action/Humor)
What is it?
A 117-page graphic novel about a hero armed with a powerful and mysterious slap bracelet who must defend his city from a siege of human-sized crickets led by an ill-tempered narwhal! After teaming up with another bracelet-powered bug sluggin’ vigilante, The Kamereon must prove he is worthy of his title in order to save an entire planet from destruction.
IT’S STILL OUT THERE (Horror)
But what is it?
A 14-page horror comic about things that go bump in the night. Something is killing people in a small town, and as night falls, the body count is rising. To make matters worse… it’s still out there.
MAINTENANCE (Sci-Fi/Action)
Tell me what it is!
In this 22-page one-shot comic, leading technology giant R.D.S.L.'s artificial intelligence experiments have gone awry, accidentally giving Sondra, a lowly maintenance robot, a set of human emotions. Now the dangerous automaton has gone rogue and is plunged head first into a world where she doesn't belong.
HIPSTERS VS REDNECKS (Humor)
I’m a little nervous, but tell me what it is.
Hipster Vs Rednecks is the 28-page tale of a post-apocalyptic world, in which two factions have risen to power—the hipsters, who control New Brooklyn, the last known city, and the rednecks, who will do anything to get inside.
CHEWED UP (Action/Humor)
Um. Okay. What’s this thing?
In 2018, artist Loch Ness and I entered the Ghost City Comics 5x5 competition and were tasked with creating a 5-page comic—from initial idea to finished product—in just 5 days! THAT'S INSANE! The end result was Chewed Up, the story of an anthropomorphic stick of gum that must face its destiny head-on. It's pretty weird, but a ton of fun.
CHAMBERS (Crime)
Looks bloody. What is it?
A 100-page crime fiction graphic novel about Narcotics Officer Denise Chambers, who comes from a family of law enforcers. Now, someone is picking them off one by one, and she'll have to figure out who's taking an ax to her family tree before it's too late. WARNING: This comic contains naughty words.
THE UNDOUBTABLES (Crime/Heist)
Looks fun, I guess. Tell me ‘bout it.
An 88-page graphic novel wherein career thief Spencer "Spade" Shelton finds himself back in New York City one year after escaping prison, but when the heist he's planned goes wrong, he'll have to evade a group of mobsters and the NYPD if he hopes to escape with his money and his life.
THE TEMPORAL (Time travel)
Will I like this one?
In this 32-page comic, a young scientist is contracted by the U.S. Military to crack the secrets of time travel. Before he hands the project over to the military, he just needs to make one small adjustment to his past.
EDISON (Action/Humor)
Haven’t I heard of this guy before?
One part James Bond, one part MacGyver, inventor Thomas Alva Edison uses his ingenuity and creativity to combat the scientific threats of the late 1880s. These are his adventures. Watch Edison face-off with Nikola Tesla in 24 action-packed pages!
FRAGMENTS (Assorted Short Comics)
What do we have going on here?
Written by me and drawn by a series of my talented friends, this comic collects shorts published between 2014 and 2020 that are rare or out of print. Monsters! Spies! Aliens! Criminals! More! There’s even commentary discussing how each story came about, or what it means to me. How cool is that?
THAT’S IT?
What do you mean, “That’s it?” that’s almost 500 pages of comics and 10 years of my career!
OH. TOUCHÉ.
Thanks for being a subscriber, and happy shopping!
We’ll resume with our regular newsletter programming next time (Say, about 2 weeks from?). Until then, stay awesome.
