I interrupt your regularly-scheduled program to bring you a special announcement. I’m launching a new sci-fi/action/humor comic series… TODAY!

Issue #1 (of 4) of The Obsoletes is being published by Silverline Comics, and is currently funding on Kickstarter, along with TWO other awesome titles, Beyond the Stars, and Krey.

Silverline Comics—the brainchild of former Malibu & Marvel Comics writer/editor Roland Mann—has been killing it these past few years with 18 successful Kickstarters under its belt, bringing to life countless other amazing titles such as Cat and Mouse, Divinity, Demon’s Tails, Friar Rush, Twilight Grimm, and many, many more.

I was thrilled when Silverline asked me to pitch a sci-fi series and even more thrilled that they picked this particular story for publication.

But what is this comic about, Wes?

When a group of grizzled intergalactic prospectors are accidentally thrust 20 years into the future, they're faced with a very different reality. The world they knew is unrecognizable and their profession has changed, becoming more deadly than ever. But rather than ride off into retirement, the crew of roughnecks sets out to prove that they're still the best in the game... even if they are a little obsolete.

With art by Aaron Humphres, inks by Jose Fuentes, colors by Haley Martin, and story and letters by me, it’s a safe bet that this is going to be a fun ride full of action and fart jokes. Er, I mean… action and heartfelt sincerity.
