Hi!
It’s me. I know we haven’t spoken much lately, but that’s only because things have been wildly busy on the work, writing, and parenting fronts. All good things, though! I’ll send out one of my normal newsletters soon. It’ll appear in your inbox before you know it.
But for now, I’m here to tell you about a new book of mine that came out this week! A book with a very long title and lots of colons! It’s called {deep breath}…
TIME for Kids: 300 Fantastic Facts!: Space
I may not have chosen the title, but I did write the words inside the book! As someone who already has a love for outer space, the universe, and the many mysteries within, it was wonderful to be paid to learn more about this vast emptiness full of gas and ice and rock.
Here’s a bonus fun fact for you: There are actually MORE than 300 facts in this book, but TIME for Kids: 316 Fantastic Facts!: Space! didn’t roll off the tongue.
This wonderful title was published by Penguin Random House and is meant for readers aged 8-12. (However, if you dig space stuff, and you’re over 12 years old, it’s still a pretty rockin’ read).

Excerpt
This book is GORGEOUS. A showstopper. A stunner. At the time I wrote the manuscript, the first titles in the relaunched TIME for Kids series hadn’t been released yet. I had no idea what the finished product would look like. These things are typically out of my hands anyway.
I received my comp copies a couple weeks ago and was stunned by how amazing the design was. A book with 300+ fun facts should be fun to read, and this totally hits the mark. Check out some of the spreads below!

Yeah. It’s pretty awesome. Thanks for reading.
