A FEW DAYS AGO: Bax decided that the quickest way to reach Captain Edwards—wherever in the universe he may be—was to steer his huge freaking spaceship into a black hole! THIS STORY IS SO SILLY.

Kevin wants to stop submitting letters, but he can’t. He knows he’ll let me down.
Kevin said, RE: Chapter 7…
Pride gets all of us in trouble for sure. Now give that pride to Commander Ed. Cue The Dukes of Hazzard voice over. Another amazing chapter delivered. Glad to see Ed wasn’t totally abandoned by his new friends. Maybe if we lose faith in humanity we can have our own purple alien step up and start blasting. It struck me today that the art is in the vein of Cory Walker of Invincible fame, which fits perfectly with your humor and the adventure flavor of this tale. Only six more chapters. What will we do with our time when it’s all said and done? I’m along for the entire ride, Wes. If I had more of a social media presence I’d certainly share, but it would be shared to a void.
It’s almost like a theme of this story just might be… friendship? Good eye, Kevin! And yes, who wouldn’t want a little Umin running around to help us fight our battles for us?
I know what you mean about Cory Walker here! In fact, let’s take a moment to recognize that it’s right around the pages in chapter 7 when Graeham really hit his stride. He was comfortable with drawing our cast of characters and he was able to really start focusing on the physicality of characters (and it only gets more amazing as we speed into the back half). It’s always fun to look at graphic novels because this is a common thing… at the beginning the artist is figuring out their style (along with the colorist and letterer) but then around the midway point of the book, everyone has found their stride and really can start bringing their A-game.
Lastly, no worries about not screaming this project into the void. I hate the void, and I know what you mean. That’s why I started a newsletter. At least it’s a void of people who have chosen to be screamed at.

Christmas is coming. I hope you’re ready. See you in a few days.
Sand in the crack….best line in the whole series. Plus this was by far the best chapter to date. You are correct. All the creators start to hit their stride as the story continues.
As the chapter ended I found myself wondering. Where is the portal taking them. What awaits our band of weary travelers. Is this how friendships are built? So many questions.
