Sand in the crack….best line in the whole series. Plus this was by far the best chapter to date. You are correct, all the creators start to hit their stride as the story continues. As the chapter ended I found myself wondering... where is the portal taking them? What awaits our band of weary travelers? Is this how friendships are built? So many questions.
You know, even six years on, I’m still pretty proud of the “sand in my crack” line. Thank you for acknowledging it. :)
We’re almost out of chapters, so if you want to share thoughts on my silly space story, you’re running out of time to…
IFC
When you open a print comic there’s sometimes something called an IFC — or an “inside front cover.” Fewer and fewer comics nowadays have them as the price of paper increases. When we released the issues digitally on Comixology, we did have IFCs. They were just fun little things to add to the worldbuilding of our story.
Since Awry is a story about technology and portals (among other things), I thought it would be fun to run with that theme when I designed these. I wanted to share them because they’re totally a vibe.
Three. More. Chapters. Don’t miss ‘em.
Just like van Helsing in Dracula, you always feel like the situation is in hand when Edward is around. Too bad he might have a hangover when next we see him. It is nice to see the crew have to flex their muscle a bit. See what they are made of. Another stellar installment. But the sands of time continue to trickle us to the end of our tale. Sigh
